It is with great pleasure that I write to inform you that we have employed Roxanna Allert as the new member of our teaching team in Room 1 commencing today at the preschool.

Roxanna holds a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning in Early Childhood (0-8yrs) from the Dunedin College of Education.  She has worked in a relieving capacity for various primary schools in Christchurch, and has also worked at Beckenham Primary School teaching a class of children with various learning needs.  Roxanna has recently worked as an Early Childhood Teacher with Select Education.

Roxanna is very enthusiastic about joining us and working as part of our close community, and we, in turn are looking forward to having her with us as part of the team.

Roxanna will work as a Teacher in Room 1, five mornings and also alongside Monika on a Monday and Wednesday afternoon with the extended/full day children.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all (particularly Room 1 parents) for your patience and trust as we have gone through the process of finding and appointing the right person for this very important role.

Please feel free to introduce yourself to Roxanna and make her feel welcome.

New Teacher and Changes to Staffing in Term 1 2008
Date: 4 February 2008

Over the summer holidays, Sue Gleeson tendered her resignation effective from the commencement of Term 1. Sue has decided to pursue other interests and spend more time with her family and in her newly renovated home.

Sue will visit our refurbished preschool, children and teachers once we have settled back into the term

Martina will be away from the preschool from Monday 11 February on teacher placement as part of her final year of studies toward a Diploma of Teaching in Early Childhood. We are fortunate to have our lovely long standing reliever Ann Farrant fills the breach for those two weeks

We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday, and I am sure you will join the teaching team in welcoming Monika Polz as Team Leader.

New Teacher and Changes to Staffing in Term 4 2007
Date: 9 August 2007

It is with great pleasure that I write to inform you that we have employed Danielle Graham as the new member of our teaching team when Cath King leaves us at the end of this term.

Danielle will join us at the Courtyard on Monday 10 September, which is two weeks prior to the end of this term. We hope that by having Danielle with us for those two weeks, she will have time to settle into her new role, and meet the children and families.

Danielle is an early childhood trained teacher and will also have completed her Montessori Diploma in October of this year. Danielle has been working within a Montessori preschool for the past two years, so brings some experience to her new role as both an early childhood educator and a Montessori teacher.

As a result of Danielle’s employment we will be making some changes to the teaching team in term 4 as follows:

Paula Scott will become the new Team Leader in Room 1 and work with Sue, Martina and myself in the morning class. She will also work Monday through to Thursday in the Extended/Full Day programme.

Cathy Lippitt will become the new Team Leader in Room 2 morning class as well as continuing her role as Team Leader in the afternoon class. Danielle Graham will be the new teacher in both Room 2 morning and afternoon classes.

The Extended/Full Day programme in Room 1 will be staffed as follows: Monday - Paula and Sue, Tuesday - Paula and Shelagh, Wednesday - Martina and Danielle, Thursday - Paula and Shelagh.

The teaching team is very excited about the new changes and challenges and we hope that you embrace them, and welcome Danielle into Room 2 and Paula into Room 1.
